SK2 A sunday lunchtime gig with special guest Mark Nightingale

The band was formed in 2013 by Dave Tyas to perform the Stan Kenton repertoire at concert venues and jazz festivals.
The music ranges from 1949 to 1979,and the band plays the greatest hits of the legendary composer and pianist. They have performed at various venues and was received with great acclaim at the Wigan Jazz Festival in 2014 and 2016 and also Scarborough Jazz Festival 2016.The concert will feature some of the Johnny Richards orchestrations of The  Cuban Fire Suite and West Side Story.

For this performance Mark Nightingale on Trombone is a very special guest. Mark is an International soloist named best British Jazz Award Trombonist 18 times inc. 2016,2017 & 2018. He has played with Georgie Fame, BBC Big Band, Steely Dan, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee and many, many more.
