The Terri Shaltiel Band
Terri’s band are on top form with loads of recent performances including Manchester Jazz Festival & a new album out too. This is going to be one funky set, Terri’s powerful, soulful voice delivers a mix of jazz, gospel, reggae, blues and soul with a majestic on-stage presence. Supported by her ever so funky band of Soultroopers, her music is inspired by the ’60s and ’70s sounds of Etta James and Aretha Franklin, by her own Israeli-Spanish-Turkish heritage and by growing up in a British Jamaican area in the North.
“Cool tunes and what a great voice!” – Craig Charles
The Lottery Winners
THEY’RE BACK! Just brilliant pop song writing, feelings of The Housemartins, even some Smiths, but mainly well crafted tunes delivered brilliantly by a band who are enjoying themselves. If you want to see this amazing band before they break – this might be your last chance!
Born in Salford and raised on romance, the indie-jangle-pop quartet provide a melodramatic blend of momentous melodies, coupled with wistful and insightful lyrics. ‘The songs are the most important thing in the world to me,’ remarks Thomas Rylance, frontman and songwriting force of the band, ‘if they’re ever even a tiny fraction as important to other people, I’ll die a very happy man’.
If you’ve seen them before, you’ll know how brilliant they are. We can’t wait!
